In the Japanese style five-story home, the traffic flow and function of each floor are reorganized to fulfill the needs of occupants.
The garage on the first floor is designed with two car parking spaces and four motorcycle parking spaces to fulfill the houseowner needs. The aquarium is embedded in the cabinet since the homeowner enjoys keeping marine fish. A concealed door is installed inside the high cabinet door of the aquarium so that the access to the underground wine cellar is cleverly hidden from view. On the second floor, the public sphere is the core area to bond with the family. The cabinets are retreated to the wall to satisfy the storage needs and retain a sense of openness and transparency, which also add interaction among the family imperceptibly. The master bedroom, dressing room and living room are located on the third floor. Sleeping space and audio-visual space are separated so that 3C products do not affect sleep. The couple can also enjoy their own private space. The fourth floor is a second bedroom and multi-functional area that offer space for guests to rest overnight, while the fifth floor is a place to practice Buddhist rituals and chore workshop.
