This project entails decorating and furnishing a semi-finished unit that’s roughly 165 m2 in area. The adaptation and application of various materials is the core of this design. The public area is lined with three different types of floor tiles, so different areas with distinct functions could be clearly defined.
The entryway is demarcated using tiles of a different shade from the rest of the space. Looking in, the line of sight, as well as the flow, would be greeted by textures of marble and wood and guided by the lighting before seamlessly converging into an open living room space. The public area is decorated using a wall of Sicilian marble and gray art paint. Furthermore, some irregularly patterned display and storage was also sprinkled in, combined with titanium trims and lights, so that this seemingly coarse space is enriched with more details.
By integrating the storage and shoe cabinets, an L-shaped passageway was formed. The dining room is situated between the living room and the kitchen, but with its slightly concaved layout design, it is also partially separated from the other areas, making it also suitable as a space for working or studying.
